Well, since Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag was FINALLY (after a 25 day waiting period) released for the PC, I've been playing naught much else. I'm starting to love Edward Kenway, and I think the game developers knew that the series needed another hero like Ezio, with a brash and debonairish attitude and approach to things. A far cry from Conner in AC III, whose characteristics, however interesting, I found to be not much more than a re-hash of Altair's attitude from the first game. Oh, and I know I've got 3 school projects due in a week, which include finishing all 40+ chapters of Treasure Island and then writing a report on it, but naw... videogames are much more interesting.
In other news, Black Friday descends upon America once more, sending man and woman alike into a frenzy to get those cute new shoes for 3% off normal price, or that awesome new 60" HD television that your wife told you expressly not to buy but it's okay now since it comes with a free DVD player.
Ah, yes, what better way to spend the 24 hours proceeding a day where one is supposed to celebrate family and to reflect on what one is thankful for than by letting out all that tension (cause let's face it, it's HARD and STRESSFUL to be nice to people and pretending to be grateful for all you have for a full 24 hours) with a ravenous spending spree.
Even the internet isn't safe from Black Friday. I suppose I wasn't so surprised to find special Black Friday deals here on deviantART, but Star Wars: The Old Republic (an MMORPG for those who don't know of it) just so happens to have a special Double XP event running this weekend... what are the odds that not even games are safe?
Well, load your guns, strap yourselves in and hold onto your butts. It's gonna be a bumpy ride, ladies and gentlemen, and may I state plainly that I absolutely don't understand a society that endorses such fiscal debauchery. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've only got a 2 minute window to grab this limited collector's edition Naruto figurine for half of my savings account, which is 6% less than it would be any other time. Well, sure, I don't like Naruto... but it's a bargain...
